I use these for my wilderness defense round and lucky have not had to use them in defense so I cannot speak for its effectiveness in that aspect. I do shoot these for target practice extensively and I am happy with how they perform in my Springfield 1911 10mm. They feed and shoot well and leave a nice splash of lead on steel targets. I do get minor leading in my barrel, as you might expect with hot 10mm loads with no gas check, but it clears out just fine by just shooting a couple FMJs after shooting a few magazines of these lead bullets, no big deal. I have loaded and shot 1000 of these and will I will be buying more.
