I wanted to shoot these in a 44 Special at 800-950fps, tried unique, cfe pistol, power pistol, imr 4227, Tite group and others and got 3 to 5" groups at 25yds. Then I gave my brother-in-law 500 bullets and he loaded 9 grs of Tite group in a 44 mag case and shot a sub 1" ragged hole at 50 yds out of a rossi 92! Apparently, it likes a bit more pressure, velocity was 1334fps at 85f. These are awesome in that gun!

I am working up loads intended to penetrate the gristle plate of wild hogs, which have injured numerous hunters in the deep South. The absence of expansion is an asset, because expanded 44 caliber hollow points have been reported found in the gristle plate, failing to penetrate to vitals. I have run these bullets to well over 1000 fps with zero leading- maximum loads with 2400 and very tolerable recoil. I have found the recoil of 300 grain factory loads excessive and uncontrollable. If using a Dillon RL550, you have to give a strong bell to the mouth in order not to damage the base- as well as a good strong crimp.
